Application for #M2TMLONDON 2022
MONSTA / STC are very proud to once again be hosting the METAL TO THE MASSES COMPETITION for London for 2022. As you will probably be aware our 2014/15 completion was praised by all and produced two winners who went on to play the New Blood Stage at B.O A (Wretched Toad & Skarthia) and in 2015/16 we saw Bearfist take the crown (and Sumer return for the 2nd year – this time on the Sophie Stage).
Since then the likes of Sumer, The Brood, Dead before Mourning, Empire Warning and Xero (to name but a few) have gone on to wow the BOA audience and beyone
2017 saw not only Sentience win the overall prize to play the New Blood Stage but Bangover were awarded a chance to perform on the Jagermeister stage. Last year Dead Before Mourning were the overall victors with The Brood also playing the Jagermeister stage as a guest band.

Submissions are now being taken for the 2021/22 Heats which start in mid November 2021
JUDGING AND VOTING PROCEDURE
HEATS – 50% CROWD VOTE AND 50% JUDGES VOTE
QUARTER FINALS - 40% CROWD VOTE AND 60% JUDGES VOTE
SEMI FINALS – 30% CROWD VOTE AND 70% JUDGES VOTE.
In ALL events the Judging panel to be no less than 3 persons who are involved in the music industry in a promotional, artistic, management level or recognized either locally or Nationally within metal.
M2TM LDN 2022 will also provide all entrants with media exposure and advance promotion,
via not only the Promoters vast resources but also through the Official Bloodstock online media outlets
and reviews along with (judging by last years competition) the real sense of community among
London's metal heads. This promises to be the greatest competition yet.
( We will be offering further awards to bands and fans alike as the competition gains
momentum from our official sponsors for 2018 whom we will announce soon ).
NO BAND ENTERING M2TM LDN WILL BE CHARGED ANY COMPETITION ENTRY FEE, ADMIN FEE
OR ANY OTHER FEE WHATSOEVER. NO BAND ENTERING WILL BE MADE TO PRE SELL ANY TICKETS,
BE FORCED TO BRING A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF FANS OR BE TREATED WITH FAVOURITISM
DEPENDING ON THEIR FAN BASE. THIS IS A STRICT NON PAY2PLAY COMPETITION.
Bands will be judged purely on their merits

CRITERIA:
1 Your band must be from London or surrounding areas (within m25 – in the event
you fall into a borderline catchment area , e.g : Surrey, Kent, Herts etc
you will be offered the regional promoter nearest to your home town - all local M2TM Promoters network with each other).
2 All band members must be over 18 years old.
3 If you (as in the band you are applying for has ever PLAYED the
New Blood Stage your application will be rejected (however if you have
entered m2tm before you are welcome to do so again)
4 You must have a set of at least 30 minutes of original music (one cover is permitted) and fall into the category of “metal” or “hard rock”.
5 Once approved you must adhere to all Terms & Conditions set out in the M2TM LONDON contract – which if your application is successful will be sent to you along with an offer for you initial heat date.
6 Once you accept the first date it will be on the understanding that even if you fail to progress past your initial heat you may be recalled for a “pit” event
(runners up re-entry) and / or as the “Wildcard” band for the Grand Final.
